With a length of approx. 45 km, the Camí de Ronda endless possibilities, the beauty of the Costa Brava to enjoy with all your senses. Whether you dare – like an experienced hiker – the entire route within two days or rather just walk a small section on a sunny afternoon – that’s up to you. It is clear that you will not regret a step!
Insider tip: Cala Calitjàs
It led us to the beautiful bay on a warm summer day Cala Calitjas In Roses, which has a pebble beach with spectacular views of the light blue sea. On a holiday with perfect bathing weather in the middle of the high season, I was prepared to arrive on a crowded beach without air to breathe. I was amazed when we didn’t have to share the spacious gravel area with 25 other people. Definitely an insider tip!
Next Bay: Cala Pelosa
After taking a refreshing dip in the cool salt water, we had a good time under the bright sun – listening to the rustling of the soft waves. Until finally our loudly growling stomachs reminded us that it was already Siesta time! Luckily we had already made provisions and continued a bay in the popular restaurant «Chiringuito La Pelosa» reserved a table. The thought of a delicious, juicy paella with fresh seafood gave us the boost to leave the cozy beach and to the next bay, Cala Pelosa, over the Camí de Ronda to hike over.
Hiking with spectacular views
Already on the first steep meters I was able to absolutely understand why so many Spain enthusiasts decide to Camí de Ronda To walk through: The view was uninterruptedly spectacular! I had to stop constantly to capture this unique dream backdrop in one photo.

I was already a bit torn: on the one hand, I had to concentrate on not losing my footing and plunging into the big cacti and on the other hand I couldn’t avoid my gaze wandering again and again over the crystal-clear, shiny water shining in the sun, which with numerous, luxurious boats and yachts was decorated. It’s better to stand a few meters short, otherwise it can be pretty dangerous!
Restaurant «Chiringuito La Pelosa»
While we snuckled past prickly pears and small palm trees, some boat passengers were audibly good in the distance – boat party ahoy!

We had already reached the beautiful beach “Cala Pelosa” faster than expected. Even from a distance you could hear the confusion of the voices, rattling dishes and the jars of the glasses – the restaurant was running at full speed. Did we have to wait despite the reservation? Unfortunately yes. Is it worth it? Definitely!
But the waiting time could have been more unpleasant: a bar with comfortable seating and a view of the sea – even the most impatient among you would survive.
Paella – here we come!
After 1-2 cool soft drinks, we were called and were finally allowed to march to our table – full of anticipation for the delicious meal. It took less than 5 minutes and we had already decided: a large seafood paella and a few small appetizers, of course a wine. As soon as the starters were there, we had already nibbled on them: tuna tartar, salad, calamari, bread – it was delicious.

After there was enough space in our stomachs after a short break, what we all had longed for finally came: the paella! How that smells… I had never eaten a paella before, a big mistake, as it turned out. Rarely have I tried something so delicious! The Spaniards know exactly how to spoil their guests.

Cocktails to finish

Satisfied and full, we hiked back to the bar and treated ourselves to a few mojitos at the end. Pure relaxation. After taking a few last, fantastic photos of the sunset, we started our way back. Can’t every day go like this?
